My approach to therapy is founded on the belief that all individuals are the experts in their own experience and everyone has the capacity to reach their goals when provided with the right support and compassionate guidance. I recognize that it takes immense courage to seek this support and my goal is to offer a non-judgemental space, founded in trust and respect, that nurtures and guides your healing journey while allowing you to feel grounded, connected, and empowered.

From a young age, I have been committed to working with children, adolescents, and families. My own life experiences showed me the importance of having strong, caring, and trusting relationships with supportive adults. I am deeply honored to now be an adult who can provide that support. I work primarily with youth and families navigating a variety of adverse experiences including relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, depression, and anxiety. I also offer parent coaching to parents who are navigating challenging behaviors with their children. In our healing space, there will be an emphasis on an authentic therapeutic relationship with a reliance on humor to facilitate building of trust. Our therapy journey together will be strengths-based and trauma-informed, prioritizing partnership, acceptance, and compassion.

My therapeutic style is collaborative, curious, and joyful. Coming from both a person-centered and cognitive behavioral background, I utilize theories and techniques from Motivational Interviewing as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapies to support individuals in making lasting and meaningful change in their lives. As a clinical social worker who is also currently pursuing a PhD in social welfare, a commitment to social justice is the root of my practice and I aim to always acknowledge and address the complex and interwoven systems that contribute to individuals' experiences of emotional distress.

I was raised in Portland Maine, a small coastal city that taught me the importance of community and connection. As an adolescent, the beauty of the west coast intrigued me and I landed in Portland Oregon for my undergraduate and masters programs. I was lucky enough to also meet the love of my life (the funniest person on the planet, but I’m not biased at all) during this 12 year stint in Oregon. As our careers grew, we decided to move to a slightly larger city and believe we have now found our forever home in Seattle. Outside of my passion for working with people, I am also a competitive horseback rider. My best day would be one spent in the sun with my husband, daughter, horse, and two dogs.
