How we're adapting to COVID-19
Safe places of connection, compassion, and care are more important than ever.
We never thought we’d have to figure out how to do therapy amidst a pandemic. And yet, here we are. So we wanted to take this moment to connect with you and share the measures we are taking to keep you safe, healthy, and receiving excellent care.
What we’re doing to protect you and stop the spread of COVID-19
Telehealth
We are currently offering telehealth sessions to our clients. As the COVID-19 situation has evolved, some of our therapists have met with a small set of clients in the office when it has been determined that it is in the best interest of the client. We will continue to evaluate and make decisions about in-person sessions based on current health and legal data as well as the needs of individual clients.
In the office
We thoroughly disinfect common areas throughout the day
We have arranged seating in the waiting room and in therapy rooms to allow for appropriate physical distancing.
Our staff wear masks in shared spaces and, as per King County requirements as of June 26, in all sessions.
Our staff maintains safe distancing
Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
Hand sanitizer is available in the waiting room
We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room.
We ask all patients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.
Physical contact is not permitted.
What to expect if you meet with your therapist in person
If you are coming into the office for an in-person session with your therapist, we will ask that you do the following:
Wear a mask when inside the building, elevator, restrooms, and waiting room. Currently King Country requires masks to be worn while in session as well. Please ask your therapist if you need a mask or face shield: we are happy to provide you with protective coverings.
Wait in your car or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time.
Please respect social distancing in the waiting area and in your therapists office.
The COVID-19 situation is constantly evolving, and our response will continue to evolve accordingly. Join our mailing list to stay up to date.
